Base Side Farm は、現在準備中です。
YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT
食べたものがあなたをつくる
Since what we eat plays such an important role in our health and well-being,
Base Side Farm strives to provide access to healthy vegetables for people throughout Honshu.
Most of the vegetables grown at Base Side Farm have high nutritional values even when consumed in small quantities.
To ensure the quality of Base Side Farm’s produce,
depending on the season and the needs of certain crops,
minimal amounts of pesticides and chemical fertilizers are used.
Base Side Farm began with a simple idea
"I want to cook the vegetables that my Australian husband wants to eat."
With that thought in mind,
and being an office worker who had never even visited a farm,
I started studying farming, took classes and started training in Mizuho-machi,
Nishitama-gun, Tokyo in February 2018.
We're growing items that are considered “Western vegetables”
such as kale, beets and butternut squash.
For ex-pats living in Japan, they’re a treat from back home.
For Japanese people who have lived abroad, they bring back fond memories.
For everyone else, they’re a chance to try something a little different than traditional Japanese vegetables.
なるべく農薬や化成肥料を使わず、少量でも栄養価の高い野菜を中心に生産販売をしています。
※季節と作物によって一部農薬、化成肥料の使用あり
